Stereological studies on several ducts and vessels by injection method of acrylic resin. XXII. On the superficial temporal artery of Macacus cynomolgos.

Animals used for observations were 20 monkeys. After they were sacrificed by depletion, colloidal acrylic resin was injected through cannulae inserted into the common carotid arteries by injection method of acrylic resin by Taniguch i, O h t a and Tajiri (1952 and 1955). Soft tissues of the injected heads were dissolved away with sodium hydroxide solution to make corrosion specimens, while several injected heads were preserved in 10% formalin for dissection. Dissection and observations of the corrosion specimens were performed under the binocular magnifier and microscope.
